5 ways of preventing a cold or flu
So it’s that time of year again, where cold and flu viruses seem to be everywhere, and no matter how hard you try to stay away from those with the bug, you still can’t hold it away. However, there are some simple measures that you could take to give you a fighting chance.
1. Keep warm
Keep your home warm by closing doors and curtains to prevent drafts. Wrap up warm in thick clothes and take a hot bath to keep you body temperature up.2. Personal hygiene
Wash your hands frequently to keep clean and germ free after touching objects that may have been in contact with many others. You should also bath or shower regularly to ensure complete cleanliness.3. Avoid touching your face
Cold viruses are easily transmitted easily when in contact with your mouth or nose. Since your hands touch lots of objects throughout the day, avoiding touching your face afterwards will help to keep the germs away from entering your body.4. Get enough sleep
Give your body the energy it needs by getting a good nights. Exercise and a hot bath are said to aid in a good nights rest.5. Eat well
Getting those all important nutrients will give your body the best chance of fighting off any viruses that might come your way. Particularly foods packed with vitamin C, Vitamin D and Zinc.
