TV Makeover show chooses Mobility Plus… Naturally!

Channel 4’s ‘The Home Show’, presented by architect George Clarke, filmed a special makeover project requiring a bathroom suitable for people with a number of mobility issues yet still needed a stylish and contemporary look – it was only natural that they turned to Mobility Plus for help!

Our bathrooms are designed for people who have problems with their mobility, not with their taste. So it was only to be expected that a TV makeover show that prides itself on style and design should specify us. The programme centres on Abbeyfield House, a residential home in Wallington, Surrey.

A bathroom in a residential home gets far more use than a bathroom in a private house, so the producers needed to be satisfied that the new bathroom would be to an excellent standard and up to the heavier use too. Abbeyfield House is a charity with a limited budget therefore cost was a major factor too.

The New Easy-Access Bathroom included a new toilet and basin, all new anti slip flooring and full waterproof wall boards and the new walk-in bathchosen was the Kielder which ticks all the boxes for value, good looks, durability and ease of use.

The makers of The Home Show were delighted, as were the residents of Abbeyfield House. House Manager Michael Wood commented: ‘All the residents are thrilled with their new bathroom and find it a pleasure to use every day, Mobility Plus did us proud.’
