General questions about bathrooms, fitting and MobilityPlus
The doors fold in on themselves and open wide, then fold neatly away when you are not using them. Being half height, they cover the lower part of the opening where most of the water lands and leave the top open, so nothing blocks access at shoulder height.
Half height doors leave the top of the shower open, which makes it much easier for someone to help from outside without stepping in or getting soaked. They also feel less enclosed, which suits anyone who finds a full cubicle uncomfortable. Full height stable doors are the alternative if you want more water containment.
From 900mm x 900mm up to 1800mm x 820mm, covering corner and alcove setups as well as longer runs. The smaller sizes are often the reason this range gets chosen, as bifold doors need no swing clearance in front of them. Frosted panels are available in any of the sizes.
Yes. It works with shower trays, level floors or wet rooms, and the tray surface is low level and slip resistant. Which arrangement suits your home depends on the floor construction, so that gets confirmed at the survey. Your floor build-up is what decides between a tray and a level finish.
Toughened safety glass, with frosted panels available if you want more privacy, held in strong brushed satin frames. The frames are built to be substantial rather than minimal, which matters on doors that are opened and folded every day. Clear glass is the alternative if you prefer a more open feel.
An integrated riser rail comes as standard and additional grab rails are available. An optional curtain can also be added alongside the doors for privacy. Grab rail positioning is worked out during the design visit around where you actually reach. Additional rails are an optional extra rather than standard.
A thermostatic mixer or an electric shower, with a five spray pattern shower head on the riser rail. A monsoon shower head is available as an optional upgrade for a wider overhead spray. A thermostatic mixer holds the temperature steady rather than swinging hot or cold while you shower.
Usually just a few days. The Coniston Bifold suits smaller spaces and corner or alcove positions, so in many homes it goes into the footprint of what is already there without needing the rest of the bathroom to be rearranged. Wallboards or new flooring can add to that.
What our customers say
“The entire team from Mobility Plus did a marvellous job, from the initial planning, the stripping out of the old, to the replacement with new. The Designer, Project Manager, Electrician, the Fitters all worked well together to give us a lovely new shower room just right for our needs.”
