10 years of support, £1,000,000 raised for life-saving research
Since 2011, Mobility Plus has supported Cancer Research UK by donating £100 for every mobility bathroom fitted. We are proud to acknowledge that to date, the partnership has raised £1,000,000 towards life-saving research, which is helping to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
Mobility Plus are working with Cancer Research UK to raise awareness
Mobility Plus are working with Cancer Research UK to raise awareness of cancer symptoms, particularly focusing on spotting bowel cancer signs early.
Tell your doctor if you notice any of these:
- A change in your normal bowel habit, such as looser poo, pooing more often and / or constipation
- Bleeding from your bottom or blood in your poo. This can look red, or it can be black and make your poo look dark, like tar
- Tummy pain (especially if it doesn’t go away) or a lump in your tummy
- Losing weight without trying to
Screening looks for early signs of bowel cancer. It’s for people who feel healthy and do not have any symptoms.
People aged 50 – 74 in Scotland and now England who are registered with a doctor will be automatically invited for bowel screening every two years.
Your purchase can make a difference to Cancer Research UK and help beat cancer
Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving lives through research and the only charity to fund research into more than 200 types of cancer. Our pioneering work into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer has helped save millions of lives.
Over the last 40 years, cancer survival in the UK has doubled. In the 1970s just 1 in 4 people survived their disease for 10 years or more. Today 2 in 4 survive.
With the support of generous partners like Mobility Plus, our ambition is to accelerate progress and see 3 in 4 patients surviving the disease by 2034.
Together we will beat cancer.
Mobility Plus give £100 from the sale of every bathroom fitted to Cancer Research UK. From the start of this promotion over £1,000000 has been raised towards Cancer Research UK’s life saving work. Cancer Research UK is a registered charity in England and Wales (1089464) and in Scotland (SC041666)
